As part of Contract CITYW-CUCF-01-09, Task Order No. 2, Epic was selected to provide CM/Build Services for upgrades to the critical Computer Data Room’s air conditioning system. The complex project required extensive planning and coordination for temporary cooling systems, phasing, chilled water piping from the basement level to the 7th floor rooftop and the installation of two sixty-ton rooftop chillers.
The project was planned and coordinated during the active programs at Hunter College as well as the densely populated and historic Upper East Side neighborhood. All work was planned and successfully completed with a five-month construction duration, no loss time injuries or incidents and 3% change orders.
