Sisters In The Brotherhood Pre-Apprenticeship Training Program Visits Montclair State University Project Site

Back

The Northeast Regional Council of Carpenters recently launched their Sisters in the Brotherhood Women’s Pre-Apprenticeship Training Program. As part of the program’s rigorous five-week exposure to all facets of carpentry opportunities, the first class of 14 participants had the opportunity to visit Associated Construction Contractors of New Jersey (ACCNJ) members’ jobsites, including Epic Management’s New School of Communication Media Building and Life Hall Renovation jobsite at Montclair State University. Epic Interiors’ Project Manager John Robbins led the tour and provided a project overview before discussing in specific detail the various aspects of the carpenters trade work. John was joined along the way by the jobsite superintendent Dave Alonso and carpenter foreman Mike Juliano who assisted in responding to the Sisters many good questions.
