Epic Drives Piles For Ocean Grove, 19 Months After Superstorm Sandy Devastated The Area

The thunderous sound of towering piling being driven into the beachfront is generally not an appealing sound. But for many members of this Neptune Township community and its visitors, it was music to their ears. Exactly 19 months to the day after Hurricane Sandy wiped out a half-mile stretch of the Ocean Grove boardwalk, workers from Epic Management’s construction crew began driving pilings into the sand on Thursday as part of a $1.1 million boardwalk reconstruction project.
